Fairtrade International has announced that it has opened a search for a Head of Policy Coherence & Advocacy. The Head of Policy Coherence & Advocacy (PC&A) is responsible for ensuring Fairtrade meets the targets described in our 2020 Strategy, pertaining to Goal No 2 “Deepening impact through services and programmes“ and Goal No. 4 “influencing government policies”.

To this end, the Head of PC&A will work with and support a team of senior advisors to deliver on the impact of Fairtrade‘s work on farmers and workers, sustainable development and human rights and advocate for a coherent implementation across all relevant areas of Fairtrade‘s work. The Head of PC&A will be part of Fairtrade International’s Senior Management Team (SMT), ensuring overall alignment of and manage thematic topics at SMT level.

The World Fair Trade Organization has announced that it has opened a search for a new Chief Executive.
The WFTO seeks a dynamic, energetic, visionary leader with significant administrative, marketing and nonprofit or association management experience. The position requires a strong commitment to Fair Trade as a strategy to reduce poverty and promote sustainable development. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in the Global South and a working knowledge of Spanish.

The Chief Executive needs to reside in the Netherlands and will work out of the WFTO Global office in that country. Preference will be given to candidates currently able to legally work in the Netherlands. A full job description is available here.
