Public policies in support of fair and solidarity trade. First research phase: the cases of Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil; France, Italy and Spain
In a shared effort to give visibility to fair and solidarity trade in Europe and Latin America, the ‘Coordinadora Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Pequeños Productores de Comercio Justo’ (Latin American and Caribbean Network of Fair Trade Small Producers) (CLAC) and the Fair Trade Advocacy Office (FTAO), with the support of the Latin American office of the World Fair Trade Organization, the Ecuadorian Minister for Foreign Trade, ProEcuador, and a number of independent researchers, these two organizations have published this document called “Public policies in support of fair and solidarity trade. First research phase: the cases of Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil; France, Italy and Spain” available in English and Spanish.
This research is very valuable for the achievements in our advocacy work, because it gives us good foundations to advice and inspire public policies in support to fair and solidarity trade. In addition, it helps us to strengthen links between the research community and those that daily work to build fairer and more sustainable relations between production, trade and consumption.
