Shaping the EU Sustainable Corporate Governance legislation for the benefit of small farmers and worker with a specific focus on companies’ purchasing practices
project
Through this project, the FTAO developed policy recommendations ahead of potential due diligence legislation at the EU level.
The project's objective was to establish a strong foundation for future advocacy efforts aimed at ensuring that legislative measures lead to tangible, positive impacts for smallholder farmers and workers. This is to be achieved by promoting improvements in corporate purchasing practices, fostering greater fairness and sustainability within global supply chains, and ultimately contributing to more equitable trading relationships.
