SchoolFood4Change

The project, which includes the Fair Trade Advocacy Office (FTAO) as part of the project consortium, trains school canteen chefs to create ‘planetary health diets’ by incorporating more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and pulses while reducing processed foods and animal products. SF4C also emphasises the importance of sustainable public procurement, encouraging schools to source locally and sustainably, thus supporting a circular food system and reducing environmental impact.
Working at the municipal level, SF4C engages food professionals and ambassadors to create the conditions for a sustainable food system in schools. The project provides training materials, recipes and a network of peers to support the successful implementation of these changes.
