CUES - Consumers' Understanding of Eating Sustainably
project
CUES aims to drive a Triple Change in culture, food value chains, and policy to promote sustainable food. By co-designing methods to communicate sustainability, the project seeks to guide consumer behaviour and identify effective cues for encouraging sustainable choices.

The Fair Trade Advocacy Office (FTAO) is a consortium member of the CUES (Consumers' Understanding of Eating Sustainably) project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon programme. CUES, which will run from March 2024 to 2028. CUES aims to make sustainable food choices easier and more attractive for everyone.

By collaborating with consumers, food companies and policymakers, CUES develops practical tools and strategies to provide clear and reliable information on sustainability. Through nine innovative solutions and stakeholder discussions, the project supports a change in the way food is produced, marketed and consumed.
