The Future is Fair - empowering Producer Organisations to achieve the SDGs

The Future is Fair - empowering Producer Organisations to achieve the SDGs
project
Increasing the number of producer organisations and their members—smallholder farmers and workers—who benefit from secure and sustainable livelihoods through fairer trading policies and practices.

This project tackles the complex challenges of achieving equitable, sustainable development and poverty reduction through trade. By empowering producer organisations and regional networks across the Fairtrade global network, it aligns with the European Commission’s priorities of reducing inequality, addressing climate risks, and promoting sustainable growth. Central to Fairtrade's mission are workers’ rights, sustainable production, and fair incomes, all critical to overcoming trade imbalances and structural barriers.

The Fair Trade Advocacy Office is part of the consortium of implementing partners alongside Fairtrade Africa (FTA), Fairtrade Network of Asia & Pacific Producers (NAPP), the Latin American and Caribbean Network of Fair Trade Small Producers and Workers (CLAC) and Centre for Social Markets (CSM). Fairtrade International is the coordinator of the project and the responsible partner to the European Commission.

  • Donor:  European Commission, Financial Framework Partnership Agreement (FFPA)
